Germander (primarily Teucrium chamaedrys, known as wall germander or common germander) is a low-growing, evergreen perennial herb in the mint family (Lamiaceae), native to Mediterranean regions. This woody sub-shrub reaches 6–12 inches tall, forming dense mounds or creeping ground covers with small, shiny, bright-green, scalloped leaves and spikes of attractive pink to lavender flowers in summer.
